Saturday March 17th – St. Patricks Day Assembly on Water Street

On Saturday March 17th we will take shifts standing in large groups at 2 locations around the major St. Patrick’s Day Festivities. We are asking for as many people possible to show up and stand with us at either location for as long as you are comfortable doing so!

There are 2 locations – please just go directly to one or the other:

  • Location # 1 Corner of E Knapp and N Water Street
  • Location # 2 Corner of E Highland and N Water Street

There are 4 shifts during the day at each location:

  • 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM
  • 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
  • 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

The shifts are guidelines to organize our efforts. We need people throughout the day. Each location will have t-shirts, large posters, sandwich boards and fliers. Our goal is to continue to raise awareness that Tom is still missing, we are looking for him and we need help finding him. Strength in numbers shows that we are working together as a community to find Tom and together we will make this happen. Thank you in advance for your participation.

Weather:
The weather forecast says the daytime high is 77 degrees. Dress accordingly.
Parking:
Free parking is available at the Marcus Center parking structure on W. State st., just west of N. Water st. Let the parking attendant know you are here for Tom Hecht.

Street parking anywhere near this area, especially after 10 am, is very difficult. Anticipate street parking possibly several blocks away and walking to one of the two locations. We encourage people to walk or take buses to the location if they are worried about street parking in that immediate area.

  1. Can we still come if we can’t be there for a whole shift? I don’t have a babysitter for my son so I was thinking of coming out for a bit before the baby shower I have to go to

  2. Tomorrow morning and into the afternoon, the Fight for Air Climb at the Us Bank Building is going on as well. That would be a great place to hand out flyers and bring awareness as there is a great number of people participating in the climb. Everyone will be gathering in the lobby for the climb.
